Manipulating Day Length for Out of Season Breeding

A two-year-long study, funded by ARDI, took place in Manitoba examined whether artificial changes in daylight can result in out-of-season lamb production through off-season breeding. These results are based on one flock of commercial dorset cross ewes. The reason that we do research is with the expectation of success. However, results in this study show that some ewes did respond to photoperiod but not enough to be feasible.
